Carlsberg acquires stake in South Asia Pte Ltd

Carlsberg Group has taken full control of Carlsberg South Asia Pte Ltd (CSAPL) by acquiring the remaining 33.33% stake from CSAPL (Singapore) Holdings Pte. Ltd.

This acquisition gives Carlsberg full control of its Indian operations and almost complete ownership of Nepal's brewing industry.

CSAPL owns 100 percent of Carlsberg India Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL) and also operates in Nepal through CSAPL's shareholding in Gorkha Brewery Pvt. Ltd. (GBPL).

As announced on August 2, 2024, Carlsberg Group has now fully acquired its Indian operations and retained a 99.94% stake in Gorkha Brewery through CSAPL.
