Biratnagar Kings has set a 128-run target for Janakpur Bolts in the opening match of the Nepal Premier League 2024.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Biratnagar notched up 127 runs losing all wickets in 19 overs.
Martin Guptill topped the score with 55 runs studded with 7 fours and one six off 43 deliveries followed by Aqib Ilyas with 15 runs while Nicholas Kirton contributed 9 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve double-digit runs.
On the bowling side, Lalit Rajbanshi took the highest 3 wickets conceding 28 runs. Harsh Thaker and Koshore Mahato grabbed 2 wickets each while Ben Mike and Mohammad Mohsin claimed 1 wicket each for Janakpur.
