NEPSE drops 24.97 points; 20 mln shares traded

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a turnover of Rs 9.13 billion on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

The NEPSE index fell by 24.97 points to close at 2750.87 on Wednesday, recording a total of 20 million shares traded.

With this, the share value of 104 companies increased, 132 companies decreased and the share value of eight others remained unchanged, according to the benchmark index.

Those companies experiencing in their share value are Khanikhola Hydropower, Joshi Hydropower and River Falls Power,

Ingwa Hydropower among others. These companies witnessed increase in there share value by 9 percent.

Conversely, the share value of Support Microfinance, and Life Insurance Corporation witnessed a sharp drop in their share prices. Bishal Bazaar Company’s shares have decreased by 9.17 percent.

Joshi Hydropower recorded the highest transaction of Rs 300 million followed by NRN Infrastructure and Development with Rs 290 million while Ankhukhola Hydropower Ltd posted a Rs 260 million transaction, according to NEPSE.
