Nepali Communist Party (NCP) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that he is not in favor of party unification in haste.
At a program organized by the Madan Bhandari Foundation at the City Hall in Kathmandu to mark the 75th birth anniversary of then CPN General Secretary Madan Bhandari on Sunday, he suggested that they should not go for the party unification in haste without review and get into a situation where they divide again and end up in a state of discord.
"We should prioritize self-review, first," he said, "We can address the existing challenges facing the nationalism when we stand united. Let’s not delay in this. Everyone should play their role from their respective places."
He said that leftists and patriots should unite as soon as possible in favor of national independence, against autocracy, fascism and foreign pressure.
Prachanda said that cooperation can be achieved in parliament, streets and elections whenever unity is forged.
