Karnali Yaks has defeated Biratnagar by 7 runs in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024.
Karnali restricted Biratnagar to 126/8 runs in the allotted 20 overs while the latter was chasing the 134-run target.
To restrict Biratnagar, Karnali's Nandan Yadav took the highest 3 wickets giving away 12 runs while Bipin Sharma grabbed two wickets.
Similarly, William Bosisto and Unish Thakuri and Sompal Kami claimed 1 wicket each.

Nicholas Kirton's 40-run score was the highest for Biratnagar. He hit 4 fours and 1 six off 39 balls followed by Lokesh Bam with 19 runs. Similarly, Dipak Bohara contributed 18 runs including 1 six off 13 balls. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday, Karnali notched up 133 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
William Bosisto topped the score with 66 runs including 5 fours and 3 sixes off 49 balls. Similarly, Dev Khanal made 53 runs including 4 fours and 2 sixes off 48 balls. The other batsmen could not acheive double-digit runs.
In reply, Pratis GC took the highest 4 wickets giving away 17 runs followed by Chris Sole, Basir Ahamad and Aqib Ilyas with, 2, 2 and 1 wicket, respectively for Biratnagar.
With this win, Karnali has registered two wins in the ongoing NPL. Out of four matches, it has lost two matches so far. Karnali, with 4 points from 4 matches, is in fourth place in the points table. Biratnagar, with 1 win and 3 losses out of 4 matches, is in seventh place.
Conversely, Biratnagar has lost three matches and won only one match so far.
