Heli Everest chopper makes emergency landing at Sanga after a bird-hit

A helicopter of Heli Everest Pvt. Ltd. collided with a bird while it was flying back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the helicopter made an emergency landing at Sanga in Bhaktapur following a bird-hit.

Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa said that a bird had hit the helicopter of Heli Everest.

He said, "A bird has hit the helicopter of Heli Everest while it was flying back to Kathmandu from Lukla. It made an emergency landing at Sanga in Bhaktapur. Checks are being done."

He informed that it will take off again after the checks.

Sherpa shared that there were five foreign passengers and a pilot onboard the helicopter. They are all safe, he said.
