Bhim Rawal, who was recently expelled from CPN (UML), has said that he will engage in what he called a 'Motherland Awareness Campaign' prior to announcing a new party.

Rawal said this during a press conference organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday. "An alternative political force has been a need of today to foster patriotism and national unity in the country," said Rawal, "We will move ahead in this direction based on the feedback  and sentiments of our well-wishers, supporters and the masses."

Rawal hinted an alliance among the Nepali Congress (BP) and former soldiers' organizations. "I believe that today's presence reflects the country's paramount concerns of the country," he said, "The motherland awareness campaign will form the basis for a strong future organization."

Meanwhile, he also hinted out at the possibility of collaborating with Durga Prasain, too, in the future saying that he has been advocating for the Nepali investment in the country.

A UML Secretariat Committee meeting held on December 25 had removed Rawal from the party, revoking his ordinary membership for allegedly breaching the party discipline.

The leader has already served as the Deputy Prime Minster, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, the Minister for Home Affairs and the Minister for Defence at different times.

The leader who preferred to identify himself as a 'nationalist leader' was the competitor for the party's Chair post in the UML's11th National Congress. He had obtained the party leadership in 2032 BS.

As he said, since his association with the party, he remained dedicated toward the country, people, sovereignty and the party principles amidst challenges.
