Hong Kong records 46 flu-related deaths in a week

Hong Kong has recorded 46 flu-related deaths in a week. Of the 65 severe flu patients requiring intensive care between January 19 and 25, 46 have died, The Standard reported.

According to the Center for Health Security, 10 more influenza patients have died in the first two days of this week.

Since the start of the flu season, 88 people have died from flu-related complications, the highest in the past five seasons.

Similarly, there has been an increase in flu cases in various private clinics. The Center for Health Security said that 46.7 percent of patients reported having flu among 1,000 consultants.
