One killed, 23 injured as bus ferrying pilgrims to Devghat crashes in Dhading (with name-list)

The condition of three among those injured is critical

A person died and 23 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying pilgrims to Devghat, a religious site, from Kathmandu met with an accident in Dhading last night.

According to DSP Subas Hamal of the District Police Office, Dhading, 50-year-old Parbati Kafle of Bhirkot, Dolakha died in the accident. Kafle who sustained critical injuries breathed her last in the course of treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

The ill-fated bus, Ba 3 Kha 8923, heading to Devghat, a religious site in Chitwan from Kathmandu met with at Thakre Rural Municipality-7, Satkilo along the Prithvi Highway, DSP Hamal said.

The condition of three among those injured is said to be critical. They are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Kathmandu and Dhading.
