Death toll from Shandar MoMo outlet gas cylinder blast hits 4

The death toll from the gas explosion that occurred at the popular Shandar MoMo restaurant in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, has reached four.

Chhiring Lama, a 25-year-old resident of Kamalpokhari originally from Dhunkharka, Bethanchowk Rural Municipality-2, Kavrepalanchowk, succumbed to his injuries at Kirtipur Burn Hospital, according to Kathmandu District Police Range Spokesperson SP Apil Raj Bohora.

“Lama, who was injured in the fire, passed away last night. Seven other individuals are currently receiving medical treatment,” SP Bohora stated.

This marks the fourth fatality in the incident that occurred on February 11. Previously, Pradeep Tamang,22, of Udayapurgadhi-7, Udayapur, Rabin Rai,18, of Manahari-5, Makwanpur, and Bhim Bahadur Ghale Magar,25, of Katari-8, Udayapur, succumbed to their burn injuries.
