Six former chiefs of the Indian Army have arrived in Kathmandu at the invitation of the Nepali Army. The former generals are scheduled to participate in events commemorating Maha Shivaratri and the 262nd anniversary of the Nepali Army's establishment.
The Indian Army veterans, all honorary generals of the Nepali Army, include Joginder Jaswant Singh, Deepak Kapoor, Vijay Kumar Singh, Dalbir Singh Suhag, Manoj Mukund Naravane, and Manoj Pande. They were welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by Lieutenant General Nirmal Kumar Thapa.
According to the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepali Army, the former chiefs will also visit various historical, religious, and touristic sites during their stay in Nepal.
This visit is a testament to the long-standing military ties between Nepal and India.
