Ordinances stalled due to procedural reasons to be endorsed soon: Home Minister

 Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak said that the government-introduced ordinances have been delayed due to procedural reasons.

In his address to the 8th National General Convention of the National Private and Boarding Schools Association Nepal here today, he said the government has brought the ordinance to enable business environment and it would be approved by the House soon.

"There has been a delay in replacing the ordinance due to some technical and procedural reasons," Minister Lekhak said, adding the private sector was encouraged by the ordinance.

"Our constitution has provided for a three-pillar economic policy," Minister Lekhak said, adding, "The government is creating an environment for law enforcement through an ordinance to ensure business environment for the private sector."

The narrative that nothing has been done in the country's education, health, and infrastructure development sector, he said, adding many universities have been established in the country with the prevalence of democratic system.

Home Minister Lekhak said the government would pass the educational bill in the ongoing session of parliament.

The Minister stressed the need for private and residential schools to resolve the problems through self-regulation. (RSS)
