Man killed, another injured in Tinkune road accident

A person died in a road accident in front of Gairigaun Petrol Pump in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Tinkune, on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sukram Tamang, 26, of Panauti Municipality-11 in Kavrepalanchowk, currently living at Dhapakhel in Lalitpur, said spokesperson at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara.

The accident took place when a tipper (Ra 1 Kha 2622) hit a motorcycle (Pra 2-02-003 Pa 6245) at 4:30 am. Tamang died in the course of treatment at the Trauma Center.

Similarly, pillion rider Ramesh Tamang of Bethanchowk in Kavre was injured in the accident, said police. He is undergoing treatment at Trauma Center.

Police impounded the tipper from cargo complex at Tribhuvan International Airport and the driver has been absconding.
