Young man stabbed to death during Holi celebration in Dhanusha

A young man was stabbed to death over a dispute that cropped up during Holi celebrations at Bindhi Chowk in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-23 in Dhanusha district.

According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the deceased is 19-year-old Anshu Yadav. Police have arrested 21-year-old Dharmendra Mahato of Janakpurdham-23 on charges of stabbing him to death.

According to the initial information provided by the Dhanusha Police, the dispute cropped up while having fun during the Holi celebration.

Anshu sustained serious injuries when Dharmendra Mahato attacked him with a sharp weapon. Critically injured Anshu, who was taken to the hospital, died during treatment, the police said.

While most districts in Madhes, including Dhanusha, celebrated Holi on Friday, Janakpurdham celebrated it on Saturday.
