An earthquake has jolted Achham, a hilly district of Sudurpaschim Province on Tuesday morning.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, Lainchaur, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake struck with its epicenter around Batulasain in Achham at 6:33 AM today.
Prior to this, on March 8, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter around Khungkhani in Baglung district.
Similarly, a powerful tremor measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale had occurred with its epicenter around Tatopani in Sindhupalchowk on February 28.
Earthquakes have been occurring frequently in Nepal, of late. Nepal is considered a high-risk zone for earthquakes due to its location in the Himalayan region.
