The National Examination Board (NEB) has stated that the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE), which is starting on March 20, will be published by June 21.
The Board has informed that preparations are being made to publish the results within 90 days of the examination being conducted.
A total of 514,071 students are participating in the xamination which will start at 8 am on Thursday.
According to Nanda Lal Paudel, the Class 10 Examination Controller, the date for announcing the results has been fixed this year so that students do not have any confusion about when the results will be released.
A total of 2,080 examination centers have been designated across the country for SEE. This year, 29 students are taking the SEE from the Japan-based examination center. Similarly, examination centers have also been designated in the Central Jail, Sundhara, and one jail in Dailekh.
Twenty-five inmates from prisons, 21 from correctional facilities, and 4 HIV-affected students are taking the SEE.
While the highest number of students, 39,600, are taking the SEE from Kathmandu, the lowest number of examinees is in Manang, with 43 students.
The government allocates Rs 277 million annually for SEE. Out of this, 170 million rupees are spent on printing answer sheets and question papers, and the remaining amount is spent on management, answer sheet checking, manpower, preparation, etc., according to the NEB.
The NEB itself has taken full responsibility for the SEE examination. Only the work of designating examination centers and publishing answer sheets has been given to the provincial governments.
