In what we call a gruesome manner, a brother-in-law has murdered his sister-in-law in Hetauda.
Rahul Das, 22, killed his eldest sister-in-law Gudiya Das with a khukuri on Wednesday afternoon, the District Police Office, Makwanpur said.
Rahul's second eldest brother Rupesh Das sustained injuries in the attack. Rupesh is undergoing treatment at Makawanpur Cooperative Hospital in Hetauda.
Acting on a tip-off that Rahul attacked his second eldest brother with a khukuri, a team of police deployed from the District Police Office, Makwanpur rushed to the incident site and arrested Rahul on Wednesday afternoon, said Police Inspector Thakur Prasad Sapkota.
The eldest daughter-in-law Gudiya was found dead in the room on the upper floor of the house during a search carried out after the family members did not find her.
The police have arrested Rahul. It is yet to be revealed why Rahul attacked his eldest sister-in-law.
The family sources have said that the deceased has three kids and her husband Roshan Das is in Qatar for employment.
An investment into the case is underway, the police said.
