One protestor killed during clash with police

One protester has died during a demonstration in Koteshwar, Kathmandu.

The Ministry of Home Affairs reported that 29-year-old Sabin Maharjan from Kirtipur died after being hit by a bullet fired by police during a clash that occurred during a pro-monarchy protest on Friday.

He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at TU Teaching Hospital.

According to the Ministry, 30 people --15 security personnel and 15 protesters—were injured during Friday's protest. They are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals.
