7.5 kg gold seized from Rasuwa's Gosaikunda; one held

A large amount of gold has been recovered from Gosaikunda Rural Municipality of Rasuwa district.

Seven and a half kilograms of gold has been recovered from a vehicle transporting apples to Kathmandu from Kerung, DSP Khem Bahadur Shahi of the District Police Office, Rasuwa said.

The police have apprehended 24-year-old Kishor Bhujel, the driver of the vehicle. Bhujel is from Rasuwa.

"The recovered bullion is over 7.5 kilograms in weight," DSP Shahi told Nepalkhabar, "The precious metal was recovered from Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2."

The police team is heading to the district headquarters from the incident site, Shahi added.
