The Summit Air plane, which was flying to Lukla in Solukhumbu, returned to Kathmandu halfway after a technical problem was detected with the plane.
The plane that took off from Tribhuvan Airport for Lukla landed at Tribhuvan Airport after a technical problem was detected, Tribhuvan Airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa informed.
‘The Summit Air plane has returned to Kathmandu without reaching Lukla after a technical problem was detected,’ Sherpa told Nepalkhabar.
Other planes to Lukla are operating regularly.
"The plane will fly to Lukla again only after a technical check," added Sherpa.
The 18-seater plane was flying to Lukla carrying passengers. Since it is the time to climb Mount Everest, most small planes are flying to Lukla.
