ASI Kunjang becomes first female police official to scale Mt Everest

Nepal Police Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Kunjang Chopel Sherpa has scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world.

SSP Ramesh Thapa, the central spokesperson for Nepal Police, informed that Sherpa successfully ascended Everest on Monday morning at 8:56 AM.

According to Spokesperson Thapa, Kunjang is the first female police official to climb Mount Everest. Sherpa is currently working at the Women and Children Directorate under the Nepal Police Headquarters.

Spokesperson Thapa mentioned that she climbed Everest to spread a message against violence targeting women and children. Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa has congratulated Kunjang for her successful ascent of Mount Everest.
