Twenty-two soldiers of the Indian Army have scaled Mount Everest, the highest peak of the world.

A mountaineering team comprising 22 soldiers of the Indian Army led by Lieutenant Colonel, Bhanu Pathak, reached atop Everest on Tuesday, according to the Nepali Embassy in Kathmandu.

"The successful climb by the Indian Army not only demonstrated their spirit of adventure but also upheld the tradition of conquering the world's most treacherous and inaccessible peaks," stated the press release issued by the Indian Embassy.
