Seven killed, 18 injured in Chitwan bus-microbus collision

Seven people have died and 18 others sustained injuries after a bus and a microbus collided with each other at the Khahare Bridge along the East-West Highway in Rapti Municipality, Chitwan.

According to Chitwan Police Chief Govinda Puri, the bus, Province 1-01-001Kha 3583, en route to Kakadbhitta from Dhangadhi collided head-on with the microbus, Bagmati Province 03-001Ja 299 coming from the opposite direction.

Police reported that the seven people died and 18 others sustained injuries in the accident.

The injured have been taken to Chitwan Medical College, the old Medical College, and Bharatpur Hospital for treatment.
