4.3-magnitude earthquake jolts Mugu

An earthquake has occurred with its epicenter at Kotdanda in Mugu district.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur informed that the earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale occurred near Kotdanda at 8:39 am on Monday.

On June 29, an earthquake of 4.8 magnitude occurred with its epicenter in Jima of Mugu.

Nepal has experienced several earthquakes and aftershocks with varying magnitudes.

The country is considered an earthquake prone zone as it lies in the Himalayan region.
