Driver injured in Bara truck collision rescued after 3 hours

A person sustained critical injuries in a truck collision in the jungle near Churiyamai Temple in Jitpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City-21, Bara.

According to the District Police Office, Bara, 35-year-old truck driver Arun Shrestha of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, Chitwan, was injured after being trapped in his vehicle after the two trucks collided on Sunday evening.

Truck driver Shrestha was rescued three hours after the accident. He was rescued from the truck by breaking the windowpane by a team of Armed Police Force (No 14) Battalion, Makwanpur, led by Police Inspector Anil Karki.

The accident took place after a truck, Na 6 Kha 3763, heading toward Pathlaiya from Hetauda struck another truck, Na 7 Kha 7301, heading in the same direction.

Both the trucks had turned turtle on the left-hand side of the road.
