Buddha Air to resume Kathmandu-Kolkata flights from Sept 1

Buddha Air, a private sector airlines company in Nepal, is set to conduct flight services to the Indian City Kolkata from Kathmandu.

According to Dipendra Karna, Spokesperson of the company, the flight services will start from coming September. The company had conducted air services before COVID-19 and cancelled after this pandemic.

"We had started flight services from May 27, 2019," Karna told Nepalkhabar, "We stopped the flight services five months after the operation due to COVID-19."

 No companies are conducting flights to Kolkata from Kathmandu, currently.  "We are resuming flights from September 1 following increasing flight requests," said Karna.

Buddha Air is making preparations to conduct Kathmandu-Kolkata-Kathmandu direct flights via its ATR 72 airbus.

 However, airfare is yet to be fixed.
