Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand at Koirala residence in Biratnagar.
Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand, who is on a visit to Koshi Province, arrived at the Koirala residence in Biratnagar on Wednesday morning.
Speaking to the journalists gathered at the Koirala residence, he described the residence as a "sacred land."
Khand said, "This is not the stronghold of any faction. For us, this place is as sacred as a religious site. The contribution of the Koirala family to Nepali politics and democracy is invaluable."
Khand also stated that everyone has the responsibility to make the party president successful. He emphasized that the party can only move forward if the president succeeds.
He mentioned that no decisions have been made yet and that he remains active in the central committee while focusing on making the general convention a success.

He stressed that party leadership should rise above factions and be selected on merit.
Stating that the cooperation between Nepali Congress and UML is not new, he recalled that such collaborations have happened repeatedly in the past.
He said this alliance would continue to move forward until the 2084 (Nepali calendar) elections.
When asked about the actions taken by the party's disciplinary committee, he argued that the decision was procedural and said the central committee would review and make a decision.
