Some economic indices are not good: PM's Economic Advisor Khatiwada

Economic and Development Advisor to the Prime Minister, Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, has said that some economic indices are not good.

Expressing his views at the Rising Nepal Summit 2025 hosted by Nepalkhabar at Soaltee Hotel, Khatiwada, who is also the former Finance Minister, stated that the investment of the private sector is not so encouraging.

"Some economic indices are not good. The investment of private sector is not so encouraging. The private sector's investment has shrunk by one-thirds in the last three years," he said," bank loans, share equity, and foreign investment are the sources of investment."

Former Finance Minister Khatiwada claimed that the economic growth of the country will remain between 5.5 to 6 percent this year.
