Aadhyanta Fund Management Limited Company Chairman Manoj Kumar Paudel has said that expanding investment through equity companies is inevitable today.

He said that even though Nepal is lagging behind the practice of expanding investment through equity companies is being successfully developed across the world.

"Private equity is expanding globally. Even though investment through equity companies has started in Nepal, we are far behind," he said.

The government has taken a policy to increase investment by giving special priority to the IT sector. An environment for equity company-based investment will have to be created in this.

Stating that the government has already made policy facilitation, he said that although the work of bringing foreign investment has started, it is too late. He said that emphasis should be placed on expanding investment through venture capital.

"Until a supportive environment for venture capital can be created, how can we invest in this risky asset or risk company? This is also important because there is a model that if nine investments are sunk when investing in 10 companies, even if one investment fails, it can give more returns than the other 10." He said.

He said that while the government is trying to move forward through tech companies, it is also necessary to increase the availability of financial instruments.
