Forty-seven individuals including notorious gangster, Chakre Milan (Milan Gurung), has been arrested from Kathmandu.
A team of police led by SSP Bishwa Adhikari apprehended them on Thursday night from areas including Thamel and Maharajgunj, Kathmandu for their alleged involvement in hooliganism.
"Forty-seven individuals including Milan Chakre were arrested from various areas including Thamel and Maharajgunj for their involvement in hooliganism," said Kaji Prasad Acharya, the spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
According to Acharya, Chakre Milan was taken under control from Hotel Shambala in Maharajgunj while a birthday party was going on.
Similarly, the police arrested Yubaraj Gurung (Sanubhai) from a Dohori Sanjh restaurant in Thamel yesterday night.
They have been kept at the Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigation.
"The names and addresses of those arrested are being verified," Acharya told Nepalkhabar, "Some of those arrested might be innocent. We will release them today. Legal actions will be taken against the guilty."
The police had initiated search operations for the gangsters after Chakre Milan posted Social Media statuses, unleashing terrors among the general public.
