A male rhino, estimated to be around 20 years old, was found dead at Bhairavpur in Madi Municipality in Chitwan district this morning. The rare wild animal is suspected to have died of an electric shock.

Abhinash Thapa Magar, Information Officer at the Chitwan National Park, shared that the rhino's dead body was discovered in a paddy field around 9:30 AM this morning. Magar confirmed that the horn and hooves of the rhino remained intact, ruling out poaching.

According to him, an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the incident and those responsible for it. Park authorities are probing to ascertain the reason behind it.
