Train and car collide with each other in Janakpur

A train and a car has collided with each other at Brahmapuri in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-9, near Thapa Chowk on Sunday morning.

The car, bearing license plate number Bagmati Province 01-025 Cha 1290, collided with a Nepal Railways train at around 8:30 AM while the train was coming toward Janakpurdham from Piparadi Station in Mahottari.

The accident took place near a "crossing area" along the railway track, according to District Police Office spokesperson Barun Bahadur Singh.

Local eyewitnesses reported that a loud noise was heard when the train hit the car. There were three people in the car, who sustained minor injuries, while the car itself was badly damaged.

Following the accident, train services were temporarily disrupted. Police spokesperson Singh informed.
