Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is embarking on a five-day official visit to China in August-end to participate in two special functions to be held in Beijing.
Prime Minister Oli will fly to China to participate in the military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in war against Japanese Aggression and fascism to be held in Beijing and Sanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
His China visit is said to take place on August 30-31.
Oli will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. They will also hold a joint meeting, according to a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The visit preparation is underway. The possibility of the trilateral meeting --Oli-Modi-Xi-- is very high," a source involved in the visit preparation told Nepalkhabar."
On the other hand, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to visit India on September 16 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Modi. However, both of these visits are yet to be announced officially.
