Heavy rainfall likely in Lumbini, Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim

The low-pressure trough of monsoon is currently situated around average position.

Besides, there seems to be an influence of humid winds from the Bay of Bengal, which could make the monsoon somewhat active.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will generally be cloudy across the country.

Moderate rainfall is likely to occur in some areas of the hilly regions and a few places in the Terai.

The division has indicated a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two places of the Terai region of Lumbini province, as well as in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

Tonight, the rest of the hilly regions of the country, including Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will generally be cloudy, while the remaining areas will have partial cloud cover.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places of the remaining areas.

There is a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two places of the hilly parts of Gandaki province and the Terai region of Lumbini province.
