Educational institutes closed for 2 days in Birgunj as cholera claims two people and several others taken ill

Two people have died and several others have been taken ill due to cholera in Birgunj Metropolitan City, Parsa.

With the spread of cholera in the metropolis, the metropolis has decided to close educational institutions for two days- Sunday and Monday.

According to Jayamod Thakur, the section officer at the District Public Health Office, Parsa, 40 individuals tested positive for cholera and two among those tested positive have succumbed to it.

The deceased are one woman from Pokhariya Municipality-9  and a man from Birgunj Metropolitan City-12, confirmed Thakur.
