Meteorologists have said that it has been raining continuously in most parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, since last night.

According to Devid Dhakal, a meteorologist at the Weather Forecasting Division, it has been raining in a few places in Madhesh Province and in most places in the rest of the provinces since last night.

The Kathmandu Valley has been witnessing rains for last 15 hours

According to meteorologist Dhakal, it has been raining continuously in the Kathmandu Valley since 6 pm on Wednesday.

"It has been raining continuously in the valley since 6 pm," he told Nepalkhabar this morning, "Sometimes it is raining lightly, sometimes a little heavily. There has been even heavy rain in the airport area where our office (Meteorological Forecasting Department) is located."

According to him, the Kathmandu Valley is unlikely to have clear weather today.

‘There is a possibility of sunshine at some point, but the possibility is low,’ said meteorologist Dhakal. ‘In addition, the weather is expected to remain cloudy and rainy throughout the day in the Kathmandu Valley.’

However, there will be no problems with flights from the airport due to the rain, he said, "But as the rain increases, visibility may decrease."

Monsoon activated by air from the Bay of Bengal
Meteorologists say that the monsoon has become somewhat active in Nepal due to the water vapor-rich air coming from the Bay of Bengal.

‘"The weather has become cloudy and the rainfall has increased somewhat in Nepal due to the water vapor-rich air coming from the Bay of Bengal," said meteorologist Dhakal. "It seems that the rain will continue throughout the day and night today, but there is a possibility of a slight decrease tomorrow (Friday)."
