140 households at risk as flooded Manohara enters settlement in Bhaktapur

In Changunarayan Municipality-1, Bhaktapur, 140 households are at risk after the Manohara River enters the settlement.

Changunarayan-1 Ward Chairman Sijan Karki informed that work was done to divert the flow of the Manohara River after the risk of flooding increased. He said that the work was done to divert the flow after the Manohara River increased due to continuous rains and came toward the settlement, putting the settlement at risk.

An attempt has been made to temporarily divert the river in coordination with Changunarayan-1 Besi and Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-6 Mulpani to save the settlement. He said that coordination will be done among all three municipalities to solve the problem permanently.
