Two killed as scooter collides with parked bus at Jadibuti

Two individuals have died after a scooter they were riding struck a bus parked at Jadibut in the wee hours on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as scooter driver Shiris Paudel of Sunaul Municipality-1, Nawalparasi, currently staying at Lokanthali, Bhaktapur and Nitesh Nepal, 23, of Panchkhal Municipality-2, Hoske, Kavre, said Kathmandu District Spokesperson SP Apil Raj Bohara.

The accident occurred when the scooter, Lu 43 Pa 4938, heading toward Jadibuti from Koteshwar struck the passenger bus, Ba.Pra. 01 006, Kha 4243, belonging to Arniko Yatayat, being parked near overhead bridge at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32 at 2:45 pm today.

Critically injured Shiris and Nitesh who were rushed to National Trauma Center breathed their last in the course of treatment, the police said.

The police said they are investigating the case after taking both the vehicles under control.
