The grand finale of the sixth edition of Singing Reality Show 'Nepal Idol' is scheduled for today evening.
Nepal Idol will be selected at the grand finale set to be held at Royal Tulip Hotel at Gwarko in Lalitpur this evening.
This time, unlike earlier, five contestants are competing for the tile in the grand finale. They include Babita Thapa Magar from Sikkim, Abhinaya Khati from Darjeeling, Darshana Gandhari from Chitwan, Ganga Sonam from Sindhupalchowk and Mrinal Manandhar from Kathmandu.
Earlier, there used to be four finalists.
The winner will receive Rs 2.5 million along with a trophy, first-runner up will get Rs 1 million while second-runner up will receive Rs 500,000, the organizer has said. The winner will be declared based on voting.
Emceed by Aasif Shah, the panel of judges of the reality show are Nhyoo Bajracharya, Kali Prasad Baskota and Indira Joshi. AP1 Television will live broadcast the grand finale at 5 pm today.
Buddha Lama was the first winner of Nepal Idol. Ravi Oad won the title in the second season, Sajja Mainali (third), while Bhupendra Thapa Magar and Karan Pariyar won the titles in the fourth and fifth seasons respectively.
