CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel shared that the numbers of UML organized members has reached 662,961, while presenting the organizational report today. This is an increment by 30 percent since the tenth general convention, according to the report.
Pokharel further said that committees have been formed in 64,706 locations. According to General Secretary Pokharel, 150,000 members are yet to be organized. According to his data, a total of 427,016 individuals are affiliated with various committees.
According to the statistics mentioned in the report presented by Pokharel at the ongoing statute convention in Godawari, Lalitpur, there are 103 district committees, including districts, overseas, provinces, and liaison forums. There are 1,067 metropolitan, sub-metropolitan, municipal, and rural municipal committees. Additionally, there are 7,760 ward committees and 55,776 toll committees.
Among the provinces, Koshi Province has 14 district committees and 136 municipal committees. It also has 1,157 ward committees and 7,101 toll committees. Koshi Province has a total of 8,408 committees.
Similarly, Madhesh Province has eight district committees, 136 municipal committees, 1,271 ward committees, and 6,515 toll committees, totaling 7,930 committees.
Bagmati Province has 13 district committees, 111 municipal committees, 1,121 ward committees, and 14,206 toll committees, for a total of 15,451 committees.
Gandaki Province has 11 district committees, 85 municipal committees, 759 ward committees, and 5,560 toll committees, totaling 6,415 committees.
Lumbini Province has 12 district committees, 109 municipal committees, 983 ward committees, and 9,267 toll committees, totaling 10,371 committees.
Karnali Province has 10 district committees, 79 municipal committees, 718 ward committees, and 6,453 toll committees, totaling 7,260 committees.
Sudurpashchim Province has nine district committees, 88 municipal committees, 734 ward committees, and 5,850 toll committees, for a total of 6,681 committees.
Furthermore, under coordination and liaison committees, there are a total of 824 committees including 7 district committees, 74 municipal committees, and 743 ward committees.
Similarly, the Nepali diaspora forum has five district committees, 36 municipal committees, and 70 ward committees, totaling 111 committees. The NRNA, India chapter has 10 district committees, 141 municipal committees, and 416 ward-level committees, for a total of 567 committees.
According to the statistics, 9,774 leaders and cadres are affiliated with the district committee level, 41,633 at the municipal level, 174,245 at the wards, and 201,364 at the toll committee level, according to the organizational report presented by General Secretary Pokharel.
The UML's second statute general convention which began amidst a ceremony at the Godawari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur today will last until Sunday.
