US citizen fined Rs 50,000 for spreading Christianity in Nepal

An American citizen has been arrested on the charge of spreading Christianity in Nepal and preparations are underway to deport him.

The Department of Immigration (DoI) fined an American citizen Daniel S Kearney with Rs 50,000 and is making preparations to deport him.

Similarly, the government has banned him from visiting Nepal for 11 years. He was arrested on September 4, 2082 on the charge of spreading Christianity against the visa norms. He has been accused of proselytizing children at a child home by teaching them Christianity.

Similarly, the government is also making preparations to deport one French, and four Indonesian citizens.

French citizen Mathilde who arrived in Nepal on tourist visa was found running a business. He was fined Rs 50,000 along with a ban from Nepal for three years.

Likewise, Indonesians were found proselytizing Christianity and teaching Turkish language.

They have also been banned from visiting Nepal for three years and fined Rs 50,000 each.
