After the thrilling win of Argentina over France at the World Cup 2022 finals, the Argentinian goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez and winger Ángel Di María have inked World Cup tattoos with three stars over it.
Martínez got the tattoo on his left leg, on the exact spot where he stopped the last minute effort from France on the 123rd minute whereas Di María got his tattoo on his thigh.
Martínez shared photos of his recent body art on his Instagram story on Monday to celebrate Argetina's victory.
Argentinian artist Juan Pablo Skunca designed the tattoo trophy, depecting three gold stars for Argentina's World Cup championship wins in 1978, 1986, and 2022. At the bottom is the phrase "May passion lead you to glory" in Spanish.
Likewise, Di María also shared photos of his tattoo on his Instagram post on Saturday alongside the caption: "On the skin for all eternity. Thank you very much friend. You said it when we made Copa America, the other leg was being saved for this moment. It was written. COME ON ARGENTINA.”
His tattoo was designed by artist Ezequiel Viapiano also features three stars symbolizing Argentina's victory in the world cup in 1978, 1986, and 2022 respectively. The tattoo also includes the Argentinian "Sun of May" and glimpse of the Lusail Stadium.
