Gen Z demonstrators have entered the restricted zone and are now shouting slogans in front of the main gate of Parliament Building.

Earlier, police fired a tear gas shell when the Gen Z demonstrators tried to break the restricted zone. The irate demonstrators clad in school uniforms have now reached the Federal Parliament Building from Maitighar Mandala.

They are shouting slogans 'Yuba Jati Khadima, Neta Chilla Gadima' (while the youths are toiling hard in the gulf countries, leaders are enjoying their luxurious lives using posh cars), Wake Up Nepal,  'No Jobs, No Justice', 'We Need Leaders Who Build and Support US, among others.

The demonstrations are also taking place in Pokhara, Biratnagar and Itahari. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendrea Shah, veteran artists and comedian duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya among other artists and players have expressed solidarity with the demonstration of Gen Z.

People born roughly between 1997 to 2012 are referred to as Generation Z.
