The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has clamped a curfew in the areas around the Parliament building until 10 pm.
The irate Gen Z had went beyond the control of the police after the Gen Z protest broke through the prohibited area and concentrated in at New Baneshwar. In the process, the protesters entered the building by crossing the gate of the Parliament.
The administration issued the curfew order after the crowd could not be controlled even after the police fired tear gas and air.
According to the order issued by the Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chhabilal Rijal, a curfew order has been issued from Baneshwar Chowk via West Everest Hotel to Bijuli Bazaar Bridge, from Baneshwar Chowk via East Min Bhavan, Shantinagar to Tinkune Chowk, from Baneshwar Chowk via North Iplex Mall to Ratna Rajya Secondary School, and from Baneshwar Chowk to Shankhamul Bridge.
The District Administration Office has said that gathering, processions, picketing and other sit-ins will not be allowed during this period.
