Ncell has confirmed that several of its facilities, including its Kathmandu head office and regional offices in Mahendranagar, Dhangadhi, and Pokhara, were severely damaged by acts of vandalism last week. The attacks disrupted services and endangered employees' safety.
Despite the damage, the telecommunications provider immediately implemented measures to ensure network continuity, offering free voice calls, SMS, and internet services for three days to keep the nation connected during the crisis.
In a statement, the company said, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our employees, customers, and communities. These events have only strengthened our resolve to serve Nepal with renewed determination and resilience. We will rebuild and rise together.”
The company also congratulated the newly formed interim government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, expressing hope for a future of unity and prosperity. Ncell also extended its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent Gen Z protest and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
