Two children died after being hit by a car at Aabukhaireni rural municipality-2 in Tanahu along Prithvi highway.
The deceased have been identified as six-year-old Sayana Thapa and five-year-old Uliyum Thapa, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Dwarika Prasad Ghimire.
The car with Indian number plate had hit the children when they were returning home from school on Friday. Critically injured children died this morning in the course of treatment in Chitwan.
