"Patient care is my top priority," Dr Sanduk Ruit told Prime Minister Karki

Senior ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit has told Prime Minister Sushila Karki that he will not become a minister.

Prime Minister Karki had reached Tilganga Eye Institute on Tuesday and requested Ruit to join the government as a minister.

Following Karki's request, Dr. Ruit said that he would support the government but would not be able to participate in the government as a minister.

After meeting the Prime Minister, Ruit told media persons that he would not become a minister.

"The Prime Minister said that the government is in a complicated situation. She asked me to participate in the government," he said. "Patient care is my top priority. I will not participate in the government but I will help."
