Chinese and US envoys to pay courtesy call on PM Karki after her telephone conversation with Modi

Following hier  telephone conversation with Modi, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, and US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson, will pay courtesy calls on Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

These diplomatic meetings will be held at the Office of the Prime Minister in Singha Durbar. Prime Minister Karki has reached the office early morning today.

Earlier, on Tuesday, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Karki.

During the courtesy meeting, Ambassador Srivastava expressed India's continued commitment to supporting Nepal's progress and prosperity, assuring that this support would persist in the days ahead, too.

He further expressed India's assistance in development and reconstruction, stating that India stands in favor of peace, good governance, and stability in Nepal.

Through the Indian Ambassador, Prime Minister Karki responded that she would discuss matters of mutual interest in detail with her Indian counterpart on Thursday.

Accordingly, Prime Minister Karki is holding a  telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Modi today.

Earlier, while congratulating Prime Minister Karki, Modi had wished for Nepal's prosperity, and during a speech at an event in Manipur, he welcomed the formation of a civil government in Nepal during an unusual situation.

Prime Minister Karki is looking after 15 ministries including the Foreign Ministry. The other six ministries have been assigned to three ministers.
