The Makwanpur District Administration Office (DAO) has restricted all vehicles, except essential ones, from using the Hetauda-Bhaise-Kathmandu road section between 6 pm and 5 am in view of security.

The administration, meanwhile, has urged all drivers to take special caution on the road during hours outside the restricted period.

Two roads connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu reopen
Two roads connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu have reopened from this morning.

The Hetauda-Kulekhani-Phakhel-Pharping road and the Hetauda-Palung-Naubise road had been disrupted earlier by the landslides, according to District Police Office, Makawanpur's police inspector Thakur Sapkota.

As he said, another route connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu: Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri raid and the Kanti Highway that connects Hetauda and Lalitpur Metropolis are yet to be restored for the traffic operation.

The Dodhare River has swept away the parts of the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri road. It has also been struck by a landslide near the Dakshinkali temple. Efforts are underway to reopen the roadway.

Similarly, the landslide has blocked the Kanti Highway. Efforts are underway to clear the debris and repair the damaged segments, the police officer said.
