Sudan Gurung, chairman of Hami Nepal, has launched a Facebook campaign for the arrest of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.

Gurung has launched the campaign with the slogans, 'Arrest KP Oli,' 'Arrest Ramesh Lekhak' and 'Arrest Murders' on his Facebook along with a combo photo of Oli and Lekhak, urging people to be ready to even die for the sake of the nation.

Gen Z groups have been accusing former Prime Minister Oli and then Home Minister Lekhak of suppressing the movement and murdering the protestors.

An interim government has been formed under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki as per the demand of Gen Z demonstrators and a high-level inquiry commission has been formed under the coordination of former Justice Gauri Bahadur Karki to investigate the incident of September 8 and 9.

To exert pressure on the commission, Gen Z groups including Sudan have launched a social media campaign. The commission suspended the passports of Oli and Lekhak and mandated that they must obtain permission even to travel outside the Kathmandu Valley.

Sudan has posted a combo photo of Oli and Lekhak on his Facebook account warning that Gen Z groups would be forced to make the arrest if the government did not arrest them immediately.

Prior to this, Gen Z groups including Sudan had pressurized the government to arrest the government officials involved in the suppression of the movement. Similarly, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah has also pressurized Prime Minister Karki to arrest Oli and Lekhak.
